The High Performance MBA provides comprehensive learning in the key areas of business knowledge necessary for success in the global economy of the 21st century. It combines theory with practice to develop a full understanding of the ways that each business discipline can be integrated into a broad-based approach to effective organizational leadership. As a result of attending the Master of Business Administration program, our graduates:
The High Performance MBA is designed for the working professional with five or more years of work experience. The program is cohort-based and consists of 36 credit hours that are completed within two years. Once beginning the program, MBA students are automatically registered for each term, and class members move through the program with their cohort for the eight-course MBA core. Upon completing the core, students take their specialty concentration, which is available both online and on ground. The class reconvenes to apply their specialty knowledge to a project in the final course - the MBA Capstone Project.
Your MBA program kicks off with a late August orientation weekend. More than a "nuts and bolts" program overview, students complete an intensive module in leadership taught by a national expert in corporate leadership skills training. By the time you complete your weekend program, you'll be more than ready to tackle the challenge of the High Performance MBA.
All High Performance MBA students are required to take the summer International Comparative Study trip as part of their MBA curriculum. This eight-day study spans two weekends and a holiday to minimize the time needed off from the workplace (a total of five work days). Not your usual cultural experience, the MBA International Comparative Study brings you in direct contact with international business leaders and managers from a variety of corporations that are carefully selected to meet the needs of each class. You not only gain an introduction to their firms, you have the opportunity to tour their organizations, explore their international challenges and ask face-to-face questions of corporate leadership.
The High Performance MBA has seven concentrations to choose from. These concentrations reflect today's increasingly specialized business environment, and include: Healthcare Management, Operations Management, Strategic Marketing, International Business, Workforce & Leadership Development, Fraud & Financial Crimes, and Green Business Management/Sustainability.
The MBA Capstone course showcases integrative knowledge through the research for and development of an actual business plan or an in-depth project for your current employer. This is the final course in the MBA program. Our on site students present their projects at the AIC Graduate Research Forum attended by students, faculty, and corporate leaders.
