What do you connect to?

Located in Amaron Basement 12, Academic Computing’s primary role is to support to the AIC community in the use of classroom, media, and web technologies with a priority focus on academic courses and academic events. We do support non-academic, extracurricular (e.g. clubs & organizations) and special events based on availability of staffing and resources.

Our office provides the following services:

  1. Instructional design for online and blended courses
  2. Support of and training for campus learning technologies
  3. Audiovisual support for classrooms and campus events
  4. Multimedia creation, duplication, and editing
  5. Equipment loans

Equipment Loans

Media Services, a component of Academic Computing, has equipment available for loan. Priority of equipment loan is given to those using it for academic purposes. AIC Identification is required to check out any equipment by faculty, staff or students. All equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The loan duration will vary based on the supply and demand of the item in question. Equipment may be reserved by calling 413-205-3228.

Media Duplication

Faculty, staff, and students can visit our facility for duplicating and editing audio and video to discuss their individual project. First priority is given to academic projects. No content with a copyright will be edited or duplicated unless authorization has been granted in writing from the producer. The requester should secure these rights prior to making a request for duplication.
