Graduate Financial Aid Stimulus Money

American International College is offering a 35% tuition discount for master-level programs to assist displaced workers who are pursuing their advanced degree in the following eight programs:

  • Master of Business Administration
  • Master of Arts in Human Resource Development
  • Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation
  • Master of Science in Forensic Psychology
  • Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership
  • Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology
  • Master of Public Administration
  • Master of Science in Nursing

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • apply and be accepted, and matriculated, into a master's degree program;
  • be enrolled in at least 6 credits (2 courses) per semester;
  • have been laid-off since September 2008 and have not secured employment;
  • have been displaced since the start of their graduate degree program (matriculation status), but not before September 2008;
  • furnish proof of eligibility by providing a copy of their "General Release" / "Involuntary Separation" letter from their former employer a) along with their Application for Graduate Admission for a new first-time student or b) to the Business Office for existing students.

Statement of Understanding

I certify that I meet the above requirements and understand the following:

  • If I secure employment at any time after the discount is awarded, I understand that I will continue to receive the discount for my current semester, plus one (1) additional semester. I agree to notify the College immediately upon my employment.
  • The Education Stimulus Package discount applies toward tuition and is not applicable to fees, books, or other educational expenses.
  • This discount cannot be combined with other scholarships, awards, or assistantships offered by American International College.
  • I will maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
