Graduate Program Director and Associate Professor of Graduate Psychology

The Graduate Program Director & Associate Professor of Graduate Psychology is a position with dual roles. 50% Administrative and 50% Academic:


Advisor for over 125 students; decisions regarding new applicants; scheduling of all classes; recruiting/scheduling of adjuncts; faculty oversight/evaluation; respond to student concerns/issues; respond to faculty concerns/issues; keeping current of regulatory agency requirements; responding to Administration requests (NEASC, program proposals, program numbers and projections etc.), organizing/scheduling dissertation defenses, approving students for graduation, attending (hooding) graduation ceremony, supervising assessment activities, collaborating with graduate admissions, collaboration with criminal justice department (Forensic Psy Program), attending grad admissions events.


Course preparation and teaching three (3) courses per semester; coordinating internship and externship classes; serving as member or chair of dissertation committees; engaging in research activities; attending psychology conferences; maintaining professional memberships; maintaining professional licenses and certification;

  • Ph.D., EdD, or PsyD
  • Clinical or Forensic or School/Educational Psychology required.
  • Training in clinical or school/educational or forensic psychology; practical experience in clinical or school/educational or forensic psychology


  • Ph.D.
  • Clinical and Forensic and School/Educational Psychology
  • Training in clinical, school/educational, and forensic psychology; practical experience in clinical, school/educational, and forensic psychology
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist; Certified School Psychologist; Licensed Educational Psychologist, Board Certified Forensic Examiner


  • Knowledge and practical application of clinical psychology practices and procedures
  • knowledge and practical application of school/educational psychology practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures such as managing adjuncts, scheduling classes, overseeing dissertation process, supervising assessment process, keeping abreast of regulatory changes, responding to student concerns, responding to Administrative requests (NEASC, Program Proposals, program numbers and projections, etc.).
  • Knowledge of classroom teaching methods, course development, student evaluation, classroom technology, and other pedagogical issues and techniques.


The Graduate Program Director & Associate Professor of Graduate Psychology is a full-time, exempt, faculty position. This is a ten (10) month position, paid at twe1ve (12) months with benefits.
