Interlibrary Loan

You can request books, articles, and other items from other libraries through our interlibrary loan service. Interlibrary loan normally takes less than a week, but could take up to two weeks for your item to arrive.

Things to remember about Interlibrary Loan:

  • We try to submit all requests within 2 business days. AIC does not have dedicated ILL staff, so responses to requests placed in this form may take up to 3 business days
  • Most requests take less than one week to arrive, but we cannot guarantee or predict an arrival date
  • We reserve the right to limit the number of requests a patron can make
  • If you have classes on the Springfield campus, you are expected to come to the library to pick up your materials
  • The library only communicates using AIC email. We do not respond to requests from other email addresses

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, U.S.Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified by law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy of other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be 'used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.' If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of 'fair use', that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
Do you agree to comply with the above?* Yes
