Springfield School Superintendent Daniel Warwick was among the more than 60 guests attending the 7th annual President's Society Reception.
The event was held on Wednesday, Nov. 28 in the Hall of Fame room in the Metcalf Gymnasium.
Several local business leaders, as well as trustees, faculty and alumni attended the event.
AIC President Vince Maniaci said the event was a great way to thank the guests for their continued support and to talk about plans for the college's future. "We've come a long way in a short period of time," Maniaci said. "But, there is still a lot of work to do."
The president said he is proud of the tremendous growth in enrollment since he took office seven years ago, a period in which the number of students attending AIC has nearly doubled.
"We've expanded our undergraduate and graduate programs, cut the deficit, balanced the budget and made major improvements to student recreational facilities, including a new athletic stadium. We couldn't have done it without the support of our alumni, trustees and the local community," he said.
