The event, part of the 10th annual FAFSA Day Massachusetts program, will open with remarks from U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal, who will speak to parents in the Griswold Theatre at 1:00 p.m.
Following Neal's remarks there will be a presentation from financial aid experts in the Griswold Theatre, as well as one-on-one assistance in filling out the required Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form in Amaron Hall.
Every high school senior, college student, and adult-student who will be attending college during the 2014-2015 academic year needs to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to apply for federal, state and institutional financial aid. FAFSA Day Massachusetts, provides free help statewide to students and families looking to complete the FAFSA.
FAFSA Day Massachusetts is being held at over 25 locations, with additional locations available on different dates and times. Families are encouraged to visit www.FAFSADAY.org to register, and to view locations, dates and times. The services are free and available to anyone entering college in 2013; low-income, first-generation students are especially encouraged to attend.
Students and parents planning to attend FAFSA Day at AIC, are urged to each bring their FAFSA Pin (www.pin.ed.gov), Social Security number, driver's license number, most recent federal tax return, most recent W-2 or year-end pay stub, untaxed income records, bank statement(s), business and investment records and Alien Registration Card (if not a U.S. Citizen). Students born before January 1, 1991 do not need to bring parental information.
FAFSA Day is a non-profit program sponsored by Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, MEFA, American Student Assistance, and USA Funds. Over 10,000 students have been served during FAFSA Day events.
