Jennifer Grossman named Director

Jennifer Grossman of Northampton, Mass., has been named director of marketing and communications at American International College in Springfield, Mass. The announcement was made recently by AIC president Vince M. Maniaci.

AIC faculty and staff gathered for a reception welcoming the new director on Monday, Sept. 17 in the International Room.

Grossman previously served as director of marketing and communications at UMass Amherst's Isenberg School of Management. Grossman started her career in strategic marketing & communications planning a decade ago, having worked at several advertising agencies within North America, including positions as senior media arts planner at TBWA/Toronto in Canada, and senior brand planner for Arnold Worldwide in Boston, Mass.

In her new position, Grossman will assess and lead the development of campus-wide integrated marketing & communications efforts to position and brand the College strategically with its diverse constituencies. She will also serve as the institutional expert on the impact of emerging consumer communications trends on higher education and will be responsible for overseeing a team of professionals in the execution of traditional and new media tactics, including digital, print, public relations, and social-media.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Grossman also earned her juris doctorate at UNC, and received a postgraduate degree in international marketing from Humber College, Toronto, Canada.
