Jeremy Anderson of New Britain, Conn. has been named Manager of Academic Computing at American International College in Springfield, Mass. The announcement was made recently by AIC President Vince M. Maniaci.

In his new position, Anderson will be responsible for supporting academic technology, and the use of technology in the teaching and learning process. He will also be in charge of the management and support of the course management system, as well supervision of multimedia services and classroom technology support.

Anderson previously served as an instructional technologist and adjunct faculty member at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University and a master's degree from Eastern Connecticut State University.

At Quinnipiac, Anderson was responsible for exploring emerging educational technologies, and consulting with and training faculty to implement these tools.

His research interests include Audience Response Systems ("clickers"), the flipped classroom, multimedia for learning and teaching, mobile technologies in education, diffusion of innovations, desktop virtualization, emotional intelligence.
