Marion (Mimi) Royston has joined the American International College family as the new Chief Information Officer. Royston comes to AIC from Assumption College in Worcester, where she served as the Associate Director of Information Technology and Chief Security Officer.

At Assumption, Mimi managed the help desk, networking, server administration, web-development, training, ResNet, instructional technology, desktop support, and lab / classroom management. She also designed and maintained campus firewall and other data security measures.

Mimi has presented at many events and conferences. In 2012, she presented at two New England Regional Computing workshops in the spring and at the Blackboard World National Conference in July. Additionally, Mimi was selected as a faculty member for the EDUCAUSE-NERCOMP Workshop Series for Managers (Part 1) for 2012 and 2013.

In her new position, Mimi will be responsible for leading the AIC Information Technology staff and the wide range of services IT delivers to the college community in the areas of instructional and administrative information systems, infrastructure, technology support, and IT-related innovation. She will lead the development of a shared vision for technology that supports American International College's mission and will establish and execute strategies to achieve that vision in a collaborative, transparent, and cost-effective way.
