Three AIC students were recently inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society. The ceremony, under the direction of Professor Julie Walsh, was held in the International Room of Lee Hall.
Students inducted included:
Jessica Davis of Rescue, Ca. A member of the AIC rugby team, Jess is a junior, double majoring in chemistry and political science.
Silas Cooper of Pawtucket, R.I. Silas, the Student Body President, is a senior, double majoring in political science and criminal justice.
Shannon Weatherup of Brattleboro, Vt. A member of the Model U.N. Club, Shannon is a senior majoring in International Relations.
Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society founded in 1920 that encourages and recognizes superior achievement in the study of government and politics at the undergrad and grad levels. There are nearly 700 chapters; the one at AIC was formed in 2008.
