AIC sponsors Taste of Philanthropy

SPRINGFIELD--How you treat donors could mean the difference between the failure and success of your organization. That was the message from author and motivational speaker Simone Joyaux, the luncheon speaker at the Taste of Philanthropy conference held March 18, at the Springfield Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

Women in Philanthropy of Western Massachusetts, in partnership with American International College, hosted the Conference for Development and Fundraising Professionals in the Pioneer Valley.

Joyaux told the gathering there is a moral dilemma facing the country. "We have major gifts officers, and major gifts donors, but what about all the other donors," she said. "I had one donor tell me he felt like an ATM machine, and that's not a good thing."

The Conference draw nearly 200 nonprofit Advancement, Development, Marketing and Communications professionals and volunteers, from the region’s nonprofit community organizations.
