Coordinator of Annual Giving & Advancement Services
Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Coordinator of Annual Giving & Advancement Services is responsible for leading the following activities: Annual Giving (Alumni, Parents, Staff, Businesses & Senior Class) and Advancement Services (Donor Relations, Research, Gift Processing and Financial Reporting). He/She will supervise the Phonathon and Advancement Services staff.
The Coordinator of Annual Giving & Advancement Services will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership in formulating effective goals, objectives, strategies, and activities for a comprehensive program to secure annual gifts
- Managing the work related to the annual fund direct mail and phonathon efforts, electronic mail solicitations and the annual giving web page
- Managing annual fund stewardship and gift acknowledgment processes
- Developing and implementing programs seeking the support of parents, businesses and other friends of the College
- Working with the Office of Marketing to write and produce fundraising materials, donor correspondence and other communications
- Overseeing the effective use of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge database
- Developing and maintaining a portfolio of prospects targeted to increase their giving level
- Creating and organizing innovative cultivation and stewardship events
- Working with Alumni Relations staff to help establish long-term relationships with donors
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred, a minimum of three years progressive experience in development, preferably on a campus setting, excellent communication and organizational skills, positive interpersonal relationship skills, and a willingness to be part of a strong team. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
