Internships

Internships are one of the strengths of AIC's Communication program because of the close relationship our department enjoys with the today's media. When you graduate from American International College with your BA in Communication you will be ready to work in the media or corporate relations.

In addition to learning skills and theory, you'll gain practical experience in print and broadcast journalism through our unique Internship program. AIC students have completed internships:

Students are required to complete three internship credits and may take as many as 12 credits in four separate internships.

Communication students prepare portfolios of projects completed during their internships. The portfolio may include copies of stories written, radio airchecks or video clips. The portfolio, along with a resume and an AIC diploma, will arm our students to start their careers in the field of Communication.

We are currently in the enviable position of having more internships than interns!

Summer internships with media in the students' hometown may also be arranged. Students are required to work a total of 125 hours for a three-credit internship.
