Psychology
The Undergraduate Psychology Department presents a variety of opportunities for students to enhance their education and practical experience in the field. The department offers a range of courses from General Psychology to Experimental and Physiological Psychology which benefit all psychology majors, especially those interested in attending graduate school and pursuing a career in one of the many professional areas in psychology.
Students are offered internship opportunities at schools and organizations in the American International College community or the Greater Springfield area, assisting faculty with research projects, and/or participating in directed studies with our faculty.
Our full-time and adjunct faculty amass an array of teaching perspectives and research interests which span the discipline of psychology which include but are not limited to Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Experimental/Physiological Psychology.
