A graduate of the Occupational Therapy Program will be qualified to apply as a candidate for occupational therapist to the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Students applying to the NBCOT for the certification examination will be required to respond to questions regarding felony-related convictions or charges. A felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
Upon passing the certification examination administered by the NBCOT, the individual will be qualified to practice as a professional Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). Most states,
