Peer Mentors are of sophomores, juniors, and seniors chosen to assist first year students in their transition to a college atmosphere.
Peer Mentors attend an extensive one-week training session prior to the beginning of school where they learn conflict resolution, mentoring, and leadership skills. Peer Mentors are also involved with the First Year Seminar, which is required for all first year students. Together with the instructors of the seminar, they provide guidance and advice on all topics concerning a first year college student. Peer Mentors are available to help you and your family during your first year as an AIC student to help you adjust to college life.
