Student of Character
Students of Character profiles appear twice monthly in the Springfield Republican Plus Papers, usually the second and third Wednesdays of the month, and are posted in their NIE blog. The students, mainly juniors and seniors, are nominated for their strong character, their civic involvement, and their perseverance in the face of obstacles in their individual lives.
The Student of Character feature also appears on ABC40 every Tuesday/Wednesday. The feature is an opportunity for teachers to nominate students who excels not only in the classroom, but displays such qualities as honesty, integrity and courage.
