Why Major in Cybersecurity at AIC?

Cybersecurity majors at American International College will assess modern cybersecurity challenges that threaten our privacy, security, and safety, and gain both the knowledge and hands-on technical skills to protect digital assets from cyber criminals who leverage sophisticated social and cyber tactics to facilitate attacks.

Students who complete this curriculum will not only be prepared for a career as a cybersecurity professional, they will also be well positioned to obtain a number of certifications which will increase their employability later in their career, including Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, and Certified Forensic Examiner.

Program Details

AIC’s Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program prepares you for immediate entry into the tech workforce after graduation.

  • The student will display critical thinking and problem skills in relation to a wide range of Cybersecurity challenges.
  • The student will be able to analyze and investigate cyber-attacks and their aftermath.
  • The student will be able to communicate cybersecurity technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • The student will know strategies to adapt to emerging threats within their field.
  • The student will develop computer programming skills to create programs and perform basic data analysis.

Scholarships

Grants and scholarships are awarded based on both need and merit.

AIC’s transfer partnerships with Holyoke Community College (HCC) and Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) provide an uninterrupted path from community college to our bachelor’s in Cybersecurity program, as well as a $4,000 per year joint admissions scholarship.
