Available Concentrations
The Fire Science and Emergency Services concentration builds on prior college and departmental experience in fire safety, structural engineering, proactive protection, post-incident investigations and operations management. Coursework is designed for those pursuing management roles within fire and emergency service organizations at the federal, state, regional and local levels.
The Emergency Management concentration prepares students to lead and manage preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts across public, nonprofit, and intergovernmental systems. Graduates are equipped to serve in emergency management agencies, homeland security organizations, public safety departments, and related fields focused on community resilience and disaster response.
The Criminal Justice Leadership and Administration concentration is designed for high-potential mid-level managers, as well as upper-level and senior managers. This MPA concentration provides graduate-level education focused on the unique responsibilities and challenges of leaders and emerging leaders and is designed to provide leadership tools that contribute to the career success and wholeness of the student.
