Examples of Careers in the Education Hive

Many of the careers in the Education Hive require various levels of licensure, experience, and education beyond the bachelor’s degree.  Please contact an Education Advisor to find out more about your potential career path.

  • Teacher: Educate and inspire the next generation in classrooms across various subjects and grade levels including special education (requires licensure).
  • Academic Advisor: Helps students find their way by navigating academic and career goals and providing resources to ensure that students are holistically able to do their best learning.
  • School Counselor: Provide guidance, support, and resources to students as they navigate academic, social-emotional, and career/college related challenges (requires licensure).
  • Health and Wellness Educator: Guide individuals and organizations toward healthier lifestyles and practices.
  • Rehabilitation Specialist: Assist students in recovering from injuries or surgeries, optimizing their physical function.
  • Curriculum Developer: Design engaging and effective educational materials, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
  • Educational Technology Specialist: Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance teaching and learning.
  • School Librarian/Media Specialist: Promote literacy, manage the school library, and assist students in finding relevant materials.
  • Early Childhood Education Provider: Work with infant/toddler and pre-school aged children to develop language, motor, social, cognitive, and academic readiness skills
  • Program Director: Create, plan, and oversee programs for children and adolescents in the public or private sector.
  • Teacher’s Assistant: Work with the classroom teacher to support students, such as working with a small group of students who need extra help learning academic skills.
  • Special Education Paraeducators: Support special needs students by working individually or with small groups and provide modifications or accommodations based upon the Individual Education Plan (IEP) to reinforce learning skills and increase skill acquisition.
