• Part of your agreement with AIC and the US Government is to pay your tuition. For international students, we need to verify your funding sources to ensure that your balance will be covered. This is done once per degree level. You can start gathering bank statements to support your estimated cost of attendance.
• You will be required to submit a clear, colored copy of your passport.
• Be prepared to sign an affidavit or financial support and an admissions agreement

Once your financial package is complete and the PDSO (Principal Designated School Official) has created your file, you will be receiving a welcome email with instructions on how to submit your passport, affidavit, and admissions agreement. Please check your AIC email daily and allow up to ten days, post depositing to receive this email.

After receiving your deposit and Affidavit of Financial Support as well as bank statements and a signed admissions agreement, the Office of International Student Life will issue your immigration document (I-20). Your I-20 is required when applying for an F-1 student visa at an American Embassy or Consulate and for entry into the United States. This I-20 has been produced by Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and is an acknowledgement that your record is in the SEVIS system. The form includes your SEVIS ID number, which is the number in the upper right hand corner above the bar code (usually starts with an N). Please allow up to 10 days for processing.

An I-901 or SEVIS Fee is used to maintain your student record and required by the US Government. It only needs to be completed once as long as you maintain active status. For many applicants, it can be completed via credit card here: fmjfee.com. This must be completed before applying for your student visa. Be sure to record your payment by keeping a copy of your receipt and send one to the Office of International Student Life.

Students wishing to attend American International College (AIC) must apply for a temporary stay visa known as an F-1 visa. An F-1 visa is used for the purposes of entry and reentry into the country and is issued to international students who are attending an academic program or English Language Program at a US college or university. • You Have Your F-1 Visa, Your Bags Are Packed, You’re Ready To Fly…
• Make sure you have the following original documents handy when you get to the airport-do not pack them in your suitcase:
  • Original, Current, 3- page I-20 form (The university listed on your current I-20 must be the university you are attending when you enter the United States)
  • Any previously issued I-20 forms
  • Valid F-1 visa
  • Valid passport
  • Copy of financial documents showing adequate funds to attend American International College (AIC)
  • Acceptance letter from AIC
  • Copy of your SEVIS fee receipt (paid)
  • EAD Card; Only needed if you are approved to work in the United States.
  • Completed Customs Declaration Form 6059B which will be given to you by the airline attendant during your flight or at your point of entry.

When you arrive at your destination, be sure to make copies of all your documents and keep them in a safe place. It will be easier to request new ones using these copies if you misplace your originals.

Never throw away or destroy an I-20, regardless of where you are attending school.

You will need to present your documentation to the Customs and Border Protection Officer who will approve (or deny) your access to the United States. Once approved, the Officer will provide you with a CBP admission stamp on your paperwork. This is now an I-94 electronic record. In the past, travelers were issued a paper copy of their I-94. However, it is all done electronically now.

*A Form I-94 reflects the date and class of admission, and the expiration date of the period of authorized stay.

Note: Don’t be offended if you are searched at the airport. Baggage is routinely searched at airports for safety and security purposes. Officers are authorized to make baggage checks without search warrants. They may also request to search your electronic devices such as laptops, cell phones, iPads, digital cameras and any other device you may be carrying with you.

If all your documents are in order, you should not experience problems at the border. However sometimes unforeseen problems occur when entering the United States. Don’t get upset, it won’t help your situation. Stay calm and patient. If you have an issue you cannot resolve on your own, you can always email the Office for International Student Life at international.advisor@aic.edu. Worst case scenario, ask the Customs and Border Protection Officer to contact your Embassy in the United States for resolution.

How to activate your AIC student email:

1. After submitting your enrollment deposit, you will receive an email from AIC’s IT department with the subject line “Getting Connected to MyAIC Student Portal”
2. Follow the instructions in this email:
   1. Login at https://aicportal.jenzabarcloud.com/ICS with your AIC Student Email and your Temporary Password.
   2. Complete the Multi-Factor Authentication process by downloading the Microsoft Authenticator app.

At AIC, Yellow Jackets who do not plan to live on campus and will commute to campus must file a Commuter Eligibility Application. This application determines whether students meet our commuter eligibility and allows students to choose additional resources such as Commuter Meal Plans.

The Commuter Application is available for the Spring 2026 semester. To complete this application, follow the steps below:

1. Login at https://aicportal.jenzabarcloud.com/ICS with your AIC email address and password
2. Click on “Student Life” in the top menu bar.
3. Click on “Residence Life & Student Conduct” option under the “Life on Campus” section.
4. Choose the “Commuter Application” in the “Important Links” section on the right-hand side.

Yellow Jackets who will be living on campus must file a Student Housing Application in the MyAIC Portal to apply for housing. 

To submit the Housing Application, please follow the steps below:

1. Click here for the direct link to the application: New & Transfer Student Housing Application
2. Ensure you are logged in with your AIC Email Address or you may receive a “permissions error”.
3. Fill the application out to its completion and click submit.

The New & Transfer Student Housing Application consist of a quick questionnaire to determine housing eligibility, allow students to choose housing preferences such as building preference, a Roommate Compatibility Survey, and the filling out of Emergency Contacts.

At AIC, first-semester schedules for new incoming undergraduate students are initially created by your Student Success Advisor. But don’t worry! You will have ample time to makes changes to your schedule. When you arrive to campus, you will have the opportunity to meet with your advisor during the add/drop period to adjust your schedule.

The Financial Responsibility Agreement is a required online document that all Yellow Jackets must complete each year for the office of Student Accounts. This document explains the financial policies of the college and asks students to confirm that they have received this important information.

To submit the Financial Responsibility Agreement, follow these steps:

At AIC, every Yellow Jacket is required to have Health Insurance that meets Massachusetts minimum requirements of health insurance. This can be through either:

1. AIC’s Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) provided by Insurance For Students (IFS) OR
2. Private Health Insurance provided by you or your family OR
3. Some State-Run Health Insurance plans such as MassHealth qualify

Students may be required to enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan if they are not enrolled in a private or qualifying state-run health insurance plan. 

Waiving your Student Health Insurance Requirement:

If you are currently enrolled in a private or qualifying state-run health insurance plan, you may be eligible to waive this Health Insurance requirement. To waive this requirement, please follow the steps below:

1. Visit www.insuranceforstudents.com/aic
2. Login with AIC Email Address and follow the login instructions
3. Submit the Waiver Form

Things to note: This Waiver Form will ask questions regarding your current health insurance plan. We recommend filing this form with someone who knows your health insurance details and has access to documentation such as your insurance card, membership ID#, and more

All students are required to complete both required health forms.

    • Must be filled out by yourself and/or a parent or guardian.
    • Health Science Students must have proof of a two-step Tuberculin Skin test (Mantoux) or QuantiFERON-TB Gold blood test completed prior to the start of classes.
    • Student Athletes must provide proof of a sickle cell solubility blood test.
  • Page 2: Physical Examination and Immunization Form
    • Must be completed by a licensed medical provider (MD, DO, NP, or PA).
    • A copy of your yearly physical with your immunizations record attached is also acceptable.

Before classes begin, students must submit all final, official transcripts from your school. These documents will only be deemed ‘official’ if submitted directly from your high school or college institution. These documents can be submitted to admissions@aic.edu

As an incoming student, it’s important that you understand your financial options when paying for college at AIC. Under the Finalize Financial Plan section, you will learn about your Student Bill, Payment Plan options, and how to sign up for a payment plan.

When will I receive a student bill?:

• Student Bills and Account Documents have been sent to student’s AIC Email Addresses.
• You can review your Billing Statement on your Student Support tab in your MyAIC Student portal.

I received my student bill; How can I sign up for a payment plan?:

• AIC’s Monthly Payment Plans are available with multiple options to choose from, ranging from 3 months to 6 months depending on the date of sign up. You can view your payment plan and payment arrangement options below:

• Log in to the MyAIC Portal, navigate to “Student Support,” and scroll down to the “My Financial Account” section.
