AIC will comply with the NE10 Conference’s decision to suspend all fall sports competition due to the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 virus. This means that no competition will occur in the fall semester. While the College and the Conference explore the possibility of shifting fall sports to the spring, we plan to have fall athletes use this additional time as an opportunity to prepare for an anticipated spring season.

Fall athletes will practice as a team, hone skills, scrimmage, and continue strength and conditioning workouts to ensure all fall athletes are prepared for a strong, yet unprecedented spring season.

In addition to practicing as a team, the following will be available to student athletes this fall:

  • Academic support
  • Engagement opportunities
  • Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
  • Athletic training services
  • Equipment room services

Protecting and maintaining the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff is our primary concern. While this was not an easy decision to make, it is necessary to maintain that same level of care and concern for the entire AIC community. We know that the pandemic-related regulations and protocols will make the fall semester look different. We also know that when we work together as One Hive, One Family, we can overcome any challenge and turn it into an opportunity to come out stronger on the other end.
