The Esther B. Griswold Theatre for the Performing Arts, which opened on the AIC campus in 1984, is a state-of-the-art performance and rehearsal space that is at once both expansive and intimate.

The 500-seat theater area is fully wheelchair accessible and air conditioned, and is equipped with a proscenium stage, computerized lighting and sound equipment, and quality acoustics. Whether being used for large-scale business meetings, musical performances, dance recitals, lectures, or trainings, the Griswold Theatre is one of the premier event stages in the area.

The spacious lobby area outside of the Griswold Theatre is also available for functions or pre- and post-event gatherings, with easy access to the Karen Sprague Cultural Arts Center.

Located on the second floor of the Schwartz Campus Center, the Schwartz Campus Center Auditorium overlooks the College’s picturesque quad—the heart of campus life at AIC.

The room can be easily configured into multiple configurations for different functions and features a stage area with full audio/visual capabilities. From speaking engagements to award ceremonies to exercise classes, the Schwartz Campus Center Auditorium is one of the most versatile locations on campus.

The room can accommodate 252 seated in rows of chairs and 160 people seated at round tables for dining or conferencing. With close access to AIC’s dining services, full catering is available for all events.

Adjacent to the Griswold Theatre is the Karen Sprague Cultural Arts Center, featuring a rotating selection of works and serving as the central hub of the We Are AIC flagship exhibit.

The Center’s unique rectangular shape and vaulted skylights make it perfect for exhibitions, speaking engagements, and catered events, and its proximity to the Griswold Theatre makes the combined space one of the most versatile and expansive event accommodations in the Springfield area.

Located in the lower level of AIC’s Dining Commons, the newly renovated Stinger Pub is the campus’ premier bar and restaurant venue.

It offers a wide variety of domestic and imported beers, wines, and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as a selection of pub favorites, including pizza, wings, nachos, pretzels, veggie plate with ranch, and hummus & pita chips.

The space, which has a capacity of 165, features several wall-mounted, high definition televisions that can accommodate multiple audio/visual inputs, and DirecTV service is available, including various sports packages. Additional room-wide audio, video, and multimedia support is also available to accommodate a range of corporate or private gatherings.
