American International College (AIC) has announced a new partnership with Sophia Learning to provide flexible, affordable pathways to degree completion, allowing transfer students and working adult learners to earn transferable college credit toward eligible bachelor’s degree programs.
Through the collaboration, AIC will accept up to 90 transfer credits earned through Sophia Learning toward eligible bachelor’s degree programs. The initiative supports students balancing work, family, and other responsibilities while continuing their education.
“This initiative supports transfer students, adult learners, and working professionals by providing an accessible way to complete general education coursework, whether before enrolling at AIC or while pursuing their degree at the College,” said Michael Dodge, provost at AIC. “As part of AIC’s commitment to access and student success, the collaboration strengthens regional workforce pipelines while preserving the faculty-led academic experience that defines an AIC education.”
Flexible Pathway for General Education Completion
The Sophia Learning partnership provides an alternative pathway for learners seeking greater flexibility in completing general education requirements. This Sophia Learning transfer credit partnership at AIC aligns with the College’s broader degree completion efforts in high-demand fields such as criminal justice, educational studies, and business.
