Dear Campus Community,
In response to the current COVID-19 outbreak and Governor Baker’s declaration of a state of emergency for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, AIC has taken the following actions.
The College has established a COVID-19 Steering Committee and five working groups, each focused on a specific area as outlined in the American College Health Association (ACHA) Guidelines. The working groups are meeting weekly and will provide minutes and recommendations to the Steering Committee, which will in turn make recommendations to my office regarding operations of the College during the COVID-19 outbreak.
A few colleges in Western Massachusetts have transitioned to remote learning. Such a decision requires careful assessment of the needs of our students and other constituents. As of right now, we are continuing business as usual with on-site instruction; however, the situation is being monitored hourly and optional online alternatives are being considered.
Timely communications pertaining to COVID-19’s potential impact on the day-to-day operations of the College will be posted here first and updated frequently.
