AIC Director of Rugby Named to Team USA Roster

American International College Director of Rugby T. Fletcher was named to the Team USA roster for the 2022 Rugby Americas North (RAN) Senior Women’s 12s

Tournament to be held Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16, 2022, in Kingston, Jamaica.

“Having the opportunity to represent my country is humbling. Playing alongside such a talented pool of women from all over is an amazing experience. Putting on the USA Rugby South jersey is an honor,” Fletcher said.

Fletcher has had tremendous success leading men’s rugby at AIC since January 2019, and the women’s rugby program since the spring of 2020, when she was promoted to director of Rugby at the College. In her first season, the men’s squad reached the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s National Championship Game, and the women’s team won the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association 15s National Championship in 2022.

Fletcher has already had an impressive career to match her success coaching. She played collegiately at Appalachian State and has since played professionally for the Raleigh Venom. Currently, she is a member of Beantown RFC, a professional team based out of Boston, Massachusetts.
