AIC Students Never Forget

Student-athlete volunteers placed flags on the campus’ quadrangle in memory of the lives lost on 9/11.

Remembering 9/11

Although most undergraduate students were too young…or not born…when the events of September 11, 2001 took place, members of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), gather on the Quad each year to place nearly 3,000 flags in remembrance of those who lost their lives in attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and those heroes who tried to subdue terrorists, losing their lives in a field in Shanksville, PA.
