It’s not your Father’s Library

The James F. Shea Library on the AIC campus has been transformed in a big way! The new and improved full-service learning center includes group study rooms, project-development spaces, study pods, open reading areas, and even a new café.

Gone are the days of the library being a solitary place to just study quietly. While the new Learning Commons is meant to serve those who wish to study in groups or alone, it also is a hub of socialization. In fact, compared to a year ago, overall activity is up 77%, with study up 23% and socializing up a whopping 97%!
