American International College is committed to supporting future leaders in healthcare through new financial aid offerings that address today’s economic pressures. Recognizing the impact of inflation and current financial challenges, AIC will begin offering renewable merit scholarships for students admitted to the Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Master of Occupational Therapy (MSOT) programs starting in Summer 2025. These scholarships are designed to reduce financial barriers and promote excellence in healthcare education.
The AIC Rising OT Professional Scholarship Program
Incoming students in the MSOT program for Summer 2025 are eligible for an $8,000 renewable merit scholarship. This award supports AIC’s dedication to attracting and supporting emerging professionals in the field of occupational therapy.
The AIC Physical Therapy Merit Scholarship
Students admitted to AIC’s DPT program for Summer 2025 are eligible for a $12,000 renewable merit scholarship. This substantial award will help reduce the cost of training for students committed to a future in physical therapy.
“Through these scholarships, we’re investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals at AIC,” said Karen Rousseau, dean of AIC’s School of Health Sciences. “Our goal is to support talented students in their pursuit of careers that make a difference in people’s lives. These awards reflect AIC’s commitment to accessibility while advancing our students’ academic and professional growth.”
Eligibility
To qualify for these scholarships, students must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and must meet the minimum GPA requirements for their program of interest. Full-time, continuous enrollment and maintaining a 3.0 GPA throughout the program are also required. No additional application is necessary, as scholarships are awarded automatically at the time of admission and deposit.
Bonus Book Stipend for Early Applicants
Students admitted and deposited to AIC’s DPT and MSOT programs by March 10, 2025, will also receive a one-time $1,000 book stipend upon program entry in Summer 2025. This stipend supports up to one year of full-time enrollment or until the total is expended, assisting students in covering essential learning materials.
“These scholarships and stipends serve to welcome and support the most qualified and committed individuals to AIC’s health sciences programs,” said Sara Vincent, assistant vice president of Admissions & Financial Aid. “We look forward to seeing these students thrive and grow as they prepare for fulfilling careers in physical and occupational therapy.”
