SOE Achieves Good Standing with the State
We are excited to announce that the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has approved the American International College School of Education’s educator licensure program as a sponsoring organization. This assessment qualifies AIC to continue preparing graduate-level candidates for licensure through August 31, 2031.

Positive Performance Evaluation
The approval comes after a rigorous review process led by SOE Dean Susan Henrichon and her team, incorporating feedback from graduates, current candidates, and Pre-K-12 partners. The DESE report recognizes AIC’s educator preparation program for its readiness and dedication to ongoing improvement.

The Future Looks Bright
Acting DESE Commissioner Russell Johnston praised AIC’s commitment to preparing educators to meet the needs of Massachusetts schools. Dean Henrichon credits the College administration’s support and the efforts of the SOE team, which have led to significant enhancements in the program to benefit K-12 education.
