Spanning the Globe

Jazmine Baehr in Paris

AIC sociology major Jazmine Baehr spent her spring break in Paris. It is just the latest stop in her growing list of world adventures. What is particularly impressive is that Jazmine looks forward to the challenges of spanning the globe, becoming immersed in a culture where she does not speak the language, most often armed with only a commonly-used-phrases guidebook and a spirit of adventure.

Last summer, Jazmine studied at the Berlin School of Economics and Law through CEA Study Abroad. This June it’s on to Florence to study Italian wine and cuisine as part of a cultural anthropology and sociology course encompassing the traditions of food and drink. Once her course wraps up, she will make her way to Barcelona, Lisbon, and London.

Jazmine relies on her own pocketbook and works both on- and off-campus to raise money for her travels. You can read more about Jazmine’s spirit of adventure by clicking on the link below.
