Occupational Therapy Program Says Thanks to First Responders
The students and faculty of the occupational therapy (OT) program at American International College would like to do their part in thanking healthcare workers on the front lines of this pandemic. In an effort led by OT students Megahn Kinee, president of the Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) and Sarah Rivera, AIC’s OT program seeks to spread positivity as well as to directly assist healthcare workers through making and donating medical masks. Occupational Therapy professors Kate Barlow, OTD, MS, OTR/L, and Said Nafai, OTD, MS, OTRL/L, CLT, assisted students in organizing this outreach effort and integrating it into their academic programming.
