Anne E. Stuart, PhD

Professor of Psychology

Dr. Anne E. Stuart has been a professor in the undergraduate psychology program since 2002. She has been instrumental in designing and revising the psychology program to meet the ever-changing needs of AIC students and support their success. Her specialty areas of teaching are social psychology, social influence, and human sexuality, as well as statistics and research methodology. She is passionate about working with AIC’s diverse student body and sees her role as a professor to provide a strong foundation from which students can explore and develop intellectually, interpersonally, and emotionally. Her teaching practices promote the development of transferable skills essential to success in any career or academic path. Dr. Stuart’s research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning, specifically as it relates to undergraduate psychology. She serves as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship at AIC and has organized the Undergraduate Research Symposium since 2021. She will serve as Secretary for the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division 2 of the American Psychological Association) from 2024 to 2027.
