Keith Gauthier, MS, CPA

Associate Professor of Accounting

Kei G. Gauthier, CPA, MSTax brings years of experience in accounting and business to American International College. Mr. Gauthier founded Gauthier & Sugermeyer, CPAs, a successful local CPA firm which provided tax service to individuals and businesses with complex reporting issues. The firm counted multiple hedge fund managers and large estates among its extensive client list.

Professor Gauthier is also the creator of the Orchard Study Guides, an interactive open-access educational resource which offers full-course coverage of Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Taxation, and General Physics. In addition to writing and/or editing the course notes and every one of the over 6,000 interactive questions and answers available on the site, Mr. Gauthier also developed the software to present the material in a question and answer format over the Internet.

  • Certified Public Accountant Licensed to Practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Serve as a voting member of the Java Community Process. “The Java Community Process is the mechanism for developing standard technical specifications for Java technology.”
  • Member of the Association des Acadiens-Métis Souriquois, a group that represents the interests of mixed race individuals with historical connections to Nova Scotia, Canada. Members of the Council are considered aboriginal under the Canadian Constitution.
  • Hold rank of Sandan in Shotokan Karate from the Shotokan Karate International Federation. Promoted to Sandan by a committee that included Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa from Japan, Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa from Japan, Semaus O’Dowd from Ireland, and James Shea from the United States. As a youth, Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa studied directly under Gichen Funakoshi. Originally awarded the rank of Shodan by Kazumi Tabata of the North American Karate Federation.
