Lori Paige, PhD

Associate Professor and Chair of English

A New Hampshire native, I attended Smith College and earned my Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1994. My research interests include nineteenth-century British literature, gothic novels, and the history of popular fiction. At AIC, I teach several different courses in composition and literature, including a class on vampire lore. I am the author of The Gothic Wave: a Critical History of the Mass Market Novels and the forthcoming The Spasmodic Poets: Appraising a Controversial School of Victorian Literature, both from McFarland Press in North Carolina.
