Services for Distance Students

At American International College we strive to provide a high level of services to our students regardless of their location.

Our goal is to make sure that your transition to online learning is as seamless as possible. The following are examples of the services you can expect to receive as part of an AIC education:

Academic Support

  • Library staff trained to support the specific needs of online learners, including research support
  • A robust collection of electronic library resources – databases, e-books & digital subscriptions
  • Online support for writing, editing and formatting for all majors
  • Tutoring in math, biology, anatomy, chemistry, and many other topics
  • Online registration and account service
  • Virtual advising

Technology Support

  • Help Desk staff trained to address frequent questions about online learning
  • Expanded support hours until 9:30 p.m. (EST) on weekdays and weekend hours
  • Extensive collection of tutorials and FAQs for online learning tools
  • Free access to Microsoft Office in the cloud and on your computer

Personal Support

  • Career development services including resume review and interview skills training
  • Online employment database

Disability Services

  • Personalized accommodations for students with documented disabilities
  • Access to assistive technologies including, but not limited to adaptive timing on exams, text-to-speech, and smartpens.
