Yohuru Williams,PhD, is the dean and McQuinn distinguished chair of the College of Arts and Sciences, University of St. Thomas. He is the author and editor of numerous books on the Black Panther Party and, most recently, “Rethinking the Black Freedom Movement” (Routledge, 2016).
