Graduate Certificate in Leadership

In the Leadership Certificate program students will learn the concepts and theories of leadership, the qualities that effective leaders possess, and the impact these leaders have on their organizations. The focus of this program is on the student as leader. To this end, students will participate in self-assessments and reflect on their personal and professional skill set in the role of leader with the goal of enhancing their effectiveness as a leader. An overarching construct of this Certificate is entrepreneurial leadership—thinking and acting in new ways to lead organizations to their potential and beyond. The students will be guided toward thinking and strategizing using new and innovative ways to consider leadership. Upon successful completion of the Certificate, participants will be on their way toward serving as a highly effective entrepreneurial leader in their organization.

Graduate Certificate in Resort and Casino Management

The five courses in the Graduate Certificate in Resort and Casino Management are based in sound business practice with a focus specific to these industries. The Certificate will prepare students for managerial and leadership roles within a casino or other resort. Occupations related to casino and gaming management are expected to grow over the coming years (Educators Serving Educators, 2012) making this Certificate program valuable for individual career growth within the industry.

Graduate Certificate in General Psychology

This 15-credit Graduate Certificate in General Psychology provides instruction in core competency areas. Our program offers courses in abnormal psychology, human development, counseling theory and techniques, social psychology, and statistics and research methodology. The knowledge gained from this Certificate relates directly to careers in human services, mental health, criminal justice, and advertising, or the credits earned may be applied to the AIC Master of Arts in General Psychology degree.

Graduate Certificate in Management

This Graduate Certificate is comprised of five MBA managerial courses in the areas of organizational behavior, marketing, accounting, finance, and human resources. These graduate courses will serve to enhance the business background of students in the program, offering innovative and practical approaches in each area of study. The knowledge gained from this Certificate may be immediately applied to situations in the workplace and may also serve to enhance the student’s career options.
