Professional Development at AIC offers opportunities for teachers in the following areas: Graduate level courses; Required SPED/Bilingual Workshops for re-licensure; SEI/RETELL Stand Alone courses providing Endorsement, Professional Development Points, and optional Graduate credit; and Graduate credits for in-district and Educational Collaborative sponsored SEI/RETELL Endorsement courses.
The School of Education offers MTEL support to enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, free of charge. Classes, workshops, and tutoring are provided, along with materials, to help students prepare for their test(s). Instruction in test content, test-taking strategies, analyzing the questions/answers, tips for effective study skills/time management, and ways to overcome test anxiety are some of the areas that will be covered! Students will spend time going through the practice test and learn how to best answer multiple-choice questions and open-response essays.
