Mei-Lin, Yeh-Lane, PhD

Associate Professor of Sports and Recreation Management

Mei-Lin Yeh-Lane, Ph. D. is a faculty member of the Sport and Recreation Management Program in the School of Business, Arts, and Science.  She was the recipient of Faculty Excellence Award at American International College (AIC) in 2019 and 2023, recognizing her outstanding teaching, scholarship, and services that supported institutional focus on diversity, inclusion, and opportunities.  She has valuable and extensive experience within the sport industry and higher education.  She had worked in the sports industry for over twelve years prior to her teaching experience in higher education.  Her sport industry working experience ranged from profit companies, non-profit sectors, to public organizations: including fitness club, sport marketing firm, national sport federation, and government system.  During her tenure in Chinese Taipei Rowing Federation, she oversaw 2004 Athens Olympic Games Elite Athletes Training Project and was the national delegate for several International Annual Conferences, including Asian Rowing Federation (ARF) and the International Rowing Federation (FISA).

Dr. Yeh-Lane teaches introductory and advanced level sport management, athletic administration and leadership undergraduate courses.  Her teaching profile covers undergraduate, graduate level, and across disciplines (general education, physical education, sport management, athletic administration, exercise science, and business majors).  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she served on various campus wide faculty committees.  As a faculty academic advisor, she helps many students to maintain their academic progress and to reach their career preparation goals.  She enjoys partnering up with local communities and sport teams to provide students with hands-on learning experience.

Published and presented more than 40 articles at peer-reviewed journals and professional conferences.  Her research articles appeared in many journals including Journal of Coaching Education, Journal of Sport Management, and Research Quarterly in Exercise and Sport Journal.  Many of her presentations were seen in regional, national, and international conferences, including SHAPE America and NASSM, two of the leading sport professional organizations.  She also serves as peer reviewer for scholarly journals.
