A Different Kind of Fair

At the start of the fall semester, American International College faculty members launched an interdisciplinary forum series entitled Advocates, Issues, and Community (A-I-C) to address serious concerns affecting communities locally, nationally, and globally. Throughout 2019-2020, the focus is, and will continue to be, on the opioid crisis.

Members of the forum committee held a Substance Abuse and Recovery Fair on February 6, 2020. The well-attended event was free and open to the public. More than twenty local healthcare organizations that help individuals suffering from addiction, as well as the people who care for them, were on hand to offer assistance.

The fair was additionally a great way for students to learn about employment and intern opportunities in these healthcare fields.
