Reopening Updates 2022-2023

June 20, 2022: New Reopening FAQs and Fall 2022 Vaccine Requirement

Dear Campus Community,

In preparation for the upcoming academic year, the Pandemic Planning Committee and the President’s Cabinet have discussed policies to help mitigate the effects of COVID-19 on the community while promoting access to the high-quality, in-person experience students and employees expect on campus.

To that end, American International College will continue to require all students and employees who will be on campus for any in-person classes, regular activities (such as athletics), or work to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2022-2023 academic year. AIC is defining fully vaccinated as having completed the primary series of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or the primary series of a WHO authorized vaccine. Vaccination requirements are subject to legally recognized medical and religious accommodations.

Additionally, the College highly recommends COVID-19 booster doses consistent with CDC guidance when eligible. If conditions and/or recommendations change or are amended, AIC reserves the right to require students to comply with other mitigation strategies, including current or future vaccines or boosters, testing, and masking.

Please be advised that AIC has updated its reopening guidelines and FAQ section on the website. Please refer to www.aic.edu/faqs-2022 for the latest information. Updates will be posted here throughout the year.

Wishing you a safe and healthy summer,

~The Pandemic Planning Committee
