Supportive Learning Services

Learn in the way that’s best for you

Every student learns differently and we respect that. That’s why the Learning Services of American International College help our students with learning disabilities manage the academic and social demands of college life.

How it works

Since 1977, we’ve supported 100 undergrads each semester through fee-based, personalized, one-on-one tutoring with a learning disabilities specialist. Choose between one and four hours of tutoring per week, and plan a program with your specialist that’s tailored to your strengths and weaknesses. We’ll also assist with selecting courses, organizing work and study schedules and determining what other aids are necessary.

Areas of assistance

Get help in a wide variety of areas, including:

• Goal setting

• Study skills

• Self-advocacy

• Note taking

• Test taking

• Time management

• Written expression

How to qualify

In addition to the standard AIC application, you will also need a recently administered Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, relevant diagnostic material, any supportive assistance you’ve received in the past and your SAT scores (timed or untimed). Please fill out our contact form or call 413.205.3426 for more information.
