The Bachelor of Arts is conferred upon students who have satisfactorily completed a minimum of 120 semester hours of academic work. This accelerated program is designed for students who possess 60 or more applicable credits. This program is designed to meet two major objectives: to provide students with a solid introduction to the social sciences and to allow students the flexibility to combine those studies with their vocational or avocational interests.
This is a blended, 8-week course schedule. On-site classes meet one evening per week for 8 weeks with the balance of coursework completed online during that time through Blackboard, our learning management system. There are 9 online courses in the program.
Courses will run Tuesday evenings 5-9:45 pm or Saturday mornings 8:30 am – 1:15 pm. Some courses will be fully online. The same days of the week will carry throughout the program.
This 60 credit program is designed to be cohort-based with a new cohort for Social Science beginning each fall, if enrollments allow. The program will take 20 months to complete (nine 8-week sessions).
