Shea Memorial Library has four study rooms, one on the main floor and three on the second floor. Wireless internet access is available in all rooms.
There is a television with VCR/DVD available for viewing videos.
There is an Apple MAC computer available in one room.
All study rooms are intended for use by a minimum of two people who need an area where they can converse.
In keeping with the library mission statement student study groups have priority over all other activity.
Reservations are required.
Reservations are accepted via website request form only.
Standard advanced reservations are unlimited.
Recurring advanced reservations are limited to two hours per day per group.
Walk-up requests for rooms are limited to two hours per day per group and are dependent on room availability.
Questions about availability should be brought to a full time staff member at the circulation desk.
Shea Library reserves the right to deny requests or cancel reservations as it deems appropriate.
Three rooms have a maximum capacity of 6 individuals.
One room has a maximum capacity of 10 individuals.
Study room occupants are expected to adhere to all standard library policies. Food and beverages are allowed in the study rooms. Students must be neat and dispose of trash properly.
Groups conducting very loud discussions may be asked to lower their voices. If excess noise continues, library staff may ask those individuals to find another building to conduct their session.
The group member whose name the reservation is placed under is responsible for the conduct of the group during the time of the reservation.
Shea Library assumes no responsibility for personal property left in study rooms. Any personal items left behind will be placed in lost and found (located behind the circulation desk).
