Congratulations to AIC Dean of Academic Pathways and Learning Innovation Emilie Clucas Leaderman, co-author of the forthcoming book Relationship-Centered Assessment in Higher Education: A Model for Leadership and Practice. The book, now listed on the Routledge website with a September 2026 pre-order date, introduces the RARE Model (Relate, Affirm, Readiness, Embolden) and focuses on strengthening relational approaches in assessment work across higher education.

Balancing work, family, responsibilities, and trying to finish your degree? Thatβs a lot.
AIC is working to help make the path a little more flexible for working adult learners and transfer students. Eligible students can complete self-paced courses and transfer up to 90 credits into select AIC bachelorβs degree programs.
βThis initiative supports transfer students, adult learners, and working professionals by providing an accessible way to complete general education coursework, whether before enrolling at AIC or while pursuing their degree at the College,β said Michael Dodge, provost at AIC.
