Our MSOT students spent six weeks this past fall semester working with residents at Mason Wright Senior Living in Springfield as part of their older adult coursework. Led by Dr. Sherry Fenton and Dr. Courtney Taylor, the wellness program focused on balance, cognition, and social engagement while giving students meaningful, hands-on experience in assessment, intervention, and group programming.
Weβre grateful for our partnership with Mason Wright and look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future.

A big congratulations to AIC alumna Tracye Whitfield, who was elected as the first Black woman to lead the Springfield City Council during a historic inauguration yesterday.
βItβs letting all young girls (know), no matter the race, that they can achieve what they put their minds to,β Whitfield shared in an interview with @springfieldrepublican newspaper ahead of the council vote in December.
