The American International College (AIC) Yellow Jackets Club (YJC) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which supports a diverse community of current and former AIC student-athletes, parents, and friends. Since 1885, we have operated under the mission to foster an environment of learning and growth in academics, athletics, service, and co-curricular endeavors while enhancing our students’ personal development. We do this by bringing our community together through events such as the Athletics Awards Banquet, Annual Golf Tournament, and Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Our goal is to advance the athletic department through fundraising, stewardship, engagement, and consistent communication. Active members of the Yellow Jackets Club (YJC) support programming that helps fulfill the educational mission of AIC Athletics, enhances the experiences of our 560+ student-athletes, and sustains lifetime relationships for our alumni across the globe. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all membership dues, and donations are 100% tax deductible.
Through an expanding network of members, the YJC provides opportunities for alumni, parents, and friends of AIC Athletics to gather while also providing crucial support to our student-athletes and athletic department goals.
Led by a growing member group, the Yellow Jackets Club (YJC) Board of Directors meets periodically to coordinate events and fundraising activities. The board works closely with the director of athletics to organize outreach, membership and nominating plans.
A group of directors appointed to act on behalf of, and within the powers granted to them by, the board of directors. The executive committee is charged with establishing policy and providing overall direction for all club activities.
Through a gift designated to a specific friends group, you will provide resources to enable our teams to compete at the highest level. Contributions enhance, not replace, approved annual budgets and are used for supplemental items such as equipment, training, and travel—all crucial elements of a competitive athletics program. Friends groups consist of alumni and alumnae, parents and families, and members of the community who support AIC and its athletic programs. Groups combine men’s and women’s programs in a particular sport. Alumni chairs help run each group in conjunction with head coaches and the athletics director. They develop annual plans for social events, communication, and fundraising. Donations to a Friends Group make an immediate and direct impact on each team’s budget. Your gift will support out-of-region travel and foreign tours, sport-specific technology, special team apparel and equipment, recruiting, friends’ events and support, and facility enhancements.
The Varsity Club harnesses passion and support for the Yellow Jackets and creates opportunities for members to make an immediate, positive impact on the lives of student-athletes. As a member, you will be included in the College’s overall engagement program, help to plan and organize engagement events such as homecoming and the athletics hall of fame induction ceremony, and receive insider updates and invitations to AIC’s premier athletics and social events. Consider a donation to the Varsity Club to help support Homecoming each year, along with various hospitality and alumni engagement events.
