Making an IMPACT

Jenny Holmquist, of Gray, ME, has been named a Team IMPACT Fellow for the 2018-19 season. Jenny, who plays for the AIC women’s field hockey team, is one of 20 student-athletes across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region selected to participate in the program.

Team IMPACT is a non-profit organization chartered to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses, harnessing the power of teamwork by matching courageous kids with college athletic teams. Team IMPACT children are drafted onto local college athletic teams and, to the greatest extent possible, become official members of the team for the duration of their treatment and beyond. Based in Boston, Team IMPACT has helped children across the country. AIC is the first college in Springfield to participate.
